What we do
Thematic Areas
Operating at the forefront of sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR), we advocate for youth-centered solutions across East Africa.

Capacity enhancement
The community pharmacy model project trained over 20 pharmacy workers in Kampala and Wakiso on contraceptive methods, enhancing their knowledge, skills, and attitudes.

Health service delivery
We have organized mobile medical camps in partnership with other organizations in rural Wakiso and Buloba districts, offering free STI screenings, contraceptives, family planning counseling, and treatment referrals.

Strategic partnerships
Usawa Health Initiative subscribes to over 4 SRHR coalitions in Uganda;
forexample; CSMMUA (coalition to stop Marternal mortality due to unsafe abortion),
Ubuntu health service providers, Usawa health consortium, etc.

Research and Advocacy
Usawa Health Initiative generates new evidence in both patient management, public health and health systems in Uganda. Our research has also been presented internationally and featured in indexed journals.
